I recently suffered from what might have been some sort of infinite loop of support emails to the juggernaut that is Facebook. Through a series of log ins and outs, I ended up losing track of my password. Well after 10 or more efforts, it became clear that the email account I had on record was somehow not lining up with their records. Needless to say, it came at a point in time where I’d posted a profile picture (posted here to the left) that was, shall we say “less than flattering” Hey–I don’t mind throwing myself on the fire in the name of a good joke but it’s course had been run and it was time to move on. There’s nothing worse than a joke that’s beaten to death!
How To Retrieve Your Facebook Password When The Reset Email Never Arrives
Finally it occurred to me that no one will answer an email faster than a hungry sales department. Armed with what I knew up front was an idea bordering on brilliant (if I do say so myself), I contacted the Facebook sales peeps, shared my predicament (you have to maintain an account to even place an advert in the right column) and told them that while I WANTED to throw some money at them, I simply couldn’t–because I had no access to my account. As predicted, I heard back within 24 hours and as I promised them–I did in fact post a pay-per-click banner ad.
Facebook Banner Ad Results
To date (a couple days), I’ve garnered 4 clicks after 7k impressions. Yeah–that’s a dreadul ratio. But I also know that in the short time I’ve been on Facebook, I can assure you that I’ve never clicked through to anyone ELSE’S banner. So, what can a bruthah expect. The good new is that I was able to narrow my demographic choices down to a fine point (perhaps too fine, but this is an experiement after all) and because I’m in a PPC program, I’m not going to miss any car payments paying for those click thru’s.
